Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Easter fundraising activities, we hope the children had lots of fun. The Easter Egg Hunt donations, Easter Trail and Spring Discos raised a terrific £1,556! This money raised will be subsidise school trips in the Summer Term and buy backpacks for new starters in September.
There has been an amazing range of promises offered for this year’s Auction of Promises, including a delicious selection of baking and cooking treats, crafting, party planning, sporting sessions, loan of equipment and much more! The school Summer Fair is one of the best loved events of the PTFA calendar. We are setting up a Summer Fair Committee to oversee the planning and organisation of this year’s Fair, being held on Saturday 29th June. If you would like to be involved please email archibaldchair@yahoo.co.uk.

We are so excited that Archibald First School are doing a Park Run Takeover! Park Run is a weekly 2km run/jog/walk around Newcastle Town Moor and on Sunday 9th June it’s being taken over by our school. This family friendly run will start at 9am and we invite all members of our school community to join for free. There will be a school wide fundraising page set up which is optional to be get involved with.
Junior Park Run is a timed event for 4-14 year olds, with grown ups welcome to accompany children. To get a time for the run you need to register at parkrun.org.uk and bring a scanable copy of your barcode with you on the day. We are also looking for volunteer marshals for the day – if you can help please email archibaldchair@yahoo.co.uk.
Our Sustainable Uniform Scheme offers pre-loved uniform to support the reduction of clothing waste, encourage re-use of good condition uniform for other children and contribute to sustainability within the school. Various good quality pre-loved uniform items are available to order with an optional donation. Further information is available on the school website here.
