We held our now annual German Day on Thursday 8th May. As usual, Mrs Smith in our school kitchen prepared a delicious lunch of frikadellen, rotkohl, kartoffelsalat and apfelkuchen. The children also learnt more about German life. Year 1 used a book from our German visitors to learn more about castles in Germany, particular Neuschwannstien ( the castle from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) Class 9 were insprired by the Schalke football team supported by our visitors, learning new facts including that NewcastleUtd will play them in the summer! All through the day the children and teachers tried to use their German language skills in class. It was a great day and showed how much of an impact our partner school’s visit had on our school. Well done to Frau Linfoot for organising this super day.
