On Thursday 15th May, Year 1 visited Northumberland Wildlife Park as part of their minibeast topic. They took part in a number of activities to find out about the plants and animals in our local enviroment.
Pond dipping
We found lots of minibeasts that love water as their habitat, including tadpoles and pond snails. We even caught some fish!
Minibeast hunting
We hunted in the woods for minibeasts too. We used brushes and magnifying pots to carefully collect our little friends and then returned them to their natural habitat.
We also found lots of plants and used our Tuff cams to take photos.
We had a great day. Thanks to our wardens who helped us.
