Year 2 visited House of Objects and Rising Sun Country Park thanks to the PTFA who helped to pay for our trip. After we arrived by coach we went inside the House of Objects. It’s a place where there is unwanted mounds of rubbish that you can use to make anything you can imagine!
You can use old bottles, fabric and even computers. There was also clay and you could saw wood but you had to wear glasses to protect your eyes. We made lots of exciting items like cushions, rockets, animals and much more! In another room you could dress up or play the keyboard and guitar.
After lunch we did den building. To get there we had to walk across the dragon’s spine! Luckily we didn’t wake up the dragon. We worked in teams to make dens with sticks that could fit in lots of children. Some dens were very relaxing and they even had a fireplace so we would be warm.
It was a fantastico trip and we had a terrific time!
