On Wednesday 11th May, Year 1 went to Alnwick Castle as part of our Dungeons and Dragons topic.   We learnt lots about castles and some of us even faced a dragon.

Castle Fact 1: Not all castles are the same.

Castle Fact 2: There was a big piece of wood after the drawbridge that had spikes on and would give you cuts and bruises.

Castle Fact 3: They didn’t use boiling oil as it was expensive.

I liked when we did the war because I liked when we battling the swords and safety arrows-Henry and Tom

I liked the bit when the girl from Scotland team blew the horn and it made my brain jiggle.-Oliver

I liked Storming the Barbican because we took Scotland to the dungeon and England won the battle-William.

I liked looking down in the dungeon.-Zara

I liked the bit when we saw the dragon. It guarded our lunch-Isaac.

I liked when we went in the Dragon’s Quest and at the end I was holding Sam’s mums hand because I was scared.- Jada

I liked the dragon in Dragons Quest.  I looked after Theo.-Sam

I liked the Dragons’ Quest because on the bridge it felt like I was going round.  I thought I was going to fall off. -Lizzy

I liked the monster in the mirror maze because it looked really spooky-Dulcie.
