In addition to our violin lessons available in Key Stage 2, Archibald is looking to offer lessons with brass instruments. We had a visit from Mr Rushton came to explain why we should learn a brass instrument. He showed us how he could play any tune we wanted on the trumpet and the cornet.
The children were told to ask their parents if they could learn and let teaching staff know. If your child is interested please let their teacher know.
Mr Rushton will return to see the children who have shown an interest. He will give them a little test, as not everyone can make their lips into the right shape (embouchure).
If your child is able to do this, they will receive a letter and more information.
