This half term Year 3 have been finding out all about Sikhism. Therefore, we decided to visit our local Gurdwara to find out more. As we were full of energy, we took a walk in the sunshine to get there. Once we arrived, we took off our shoes to show our respect.
Next we made our way upstairs to look where the Guru Granth Sahib (the Sikh holy book) was kept.
After that we went to the Langar Hall where we were kindly given a drink and a snack. This room is where free food is given to those who come to worship.
Finally we listened to a Sikh reading that was read in Punjabi and then we made a donation to the Gurdwara to show our thanks and respect. It really was good times at The Gurdwara!
