Our school was invited to play in the Newcastle Falcons tag rugby tournament at the the Kingston Park stadium, on the actual pitch the professionals play on! How cool is that?! In the end we had to rush off the field so the England U19 team could play on the pitch!
So on Thursday 14th of April 20 of us set off to try win the tournament. Last year we got to the final but this year we were hoping to go one better.
In total there was 19 teams from 5 different schools taking part. Out of the two teams we took to the tournament, neither of them lost a game! We actually went onto win the whole tournament beating Grange First School in the final! This made us all extremely excited and proud.
All the children showed great determination, skill and teamwork throughout the tournament and in the end we all had a wonderful time.
