Year 1 had a special visitor last Tuesday. His name is Frank Coles and he is a writer. He has visited some of the places we have been looking at in our Hot and Cold topic. He has visited the Arctic and the Desert in the Middle East. He lets us try on his gear and showed us photographs of his travels. We found out lots of information about swimming with sharks. We found out if you see a polar bear it is already too late and that you must share your water with others in the Desert. He was a fascinating visitor and the children really enjoyed his visit. They have used lots of what they found out in their writing and drama.
