After a fantastic morning at the Great North Museum taking part in the “Mummies Unwrapped” workshop, year 4 were set a special mummy challenge. They had to make their very own mummies complete with sarcophagus, amulet and canopic jars. The children used their knowledge of mummification to design their coffins which also included authentic decorations and all of the tools and equipment needed for successful embalming.
