On Tuesday the 21st June Class 1 and Nursery 1 went on a visit to St Mary’s Lighthouse in Whitley Bay. We had a wonderful time. The weather was just right, not too hot, not too cold and we were busy all day long.
We enjoyed rock pooling, where we caught all sorts of different sea creatures. Some of us managed to catch fish, crabs, hermit crabs and sea snails.
We walked up 137 steps to the top of the lighthouse and had a look out.
We also learnt new sea songs and listened to some different sea stories.
We had a great time!!!
A huge thank you to all the parent and grandparent helpers we had on the day too, and another thank you to the PTFA for funding towards this – we could do it without any of you!
