The smoothie shop was set up by Miss Lee, Mrs Watson and the school council to promote healthy eating in our older children. With Key Stage 1 getting fruit everyday, the school council felt that it was important for Key Stage 2 to also have a choice of healthy snack at playtime. The smoothie shop currently runs on a Wednesday and is open to all children in Years 3 and 4. The children can choose between five different varieties of smoothie, orange or apple juice or a fruit tube. The products are all priced between 30p-50p and the shop is run by our Year 4 school council members. It has been very popular so far with over 60 products being sold last week!
