Pupil Premium 2019-20
The effect of COVID-19 and the subsequent shutdown mid-year has had significant effects on the proposed outcomes from last year’s Pupil Premium strategy.
Schools closed for educational purposes on March 23rd to all children. Between March 23rd and June 1st, schools provided essential childcare for children of critical front line key workers and children classed as vulnerable. Vulnerable children were offered spaces in school and strong communication took place between home and school throughout this period. As school opened more widely as of June 1st, vulnerable and disadvantaged children were again invited back into school.
This effect and impact of the school closure as well as the review of the 2019-2020 Pupil Premium Strategy Statement can be seen in the priorities chosen for 2020-2021.
