Year 4 visit to Laing Art Gallery

We had a great visit to the L:aing Art Gallery to enhance our water colour skills. This is what we thought of the Laing Art Gallery: 

"I didn't imagine the paintings to be so big and tell so many stories. I enjoyed making my own piece in response to my visit."

"It was great to investigate all the different ways that colours used to be made and used by monks at Holy Island."

" I decided to paint a landscape background and experiment with a wash background." 

"It was impressive that there was lost of sculptures at the Laing as well as paintings."
