School Lunches
All children from Nursery to Year 4 are welcome to have a hot school meal and we encourage our children to have a school meal daily.
Children in Years 1-4 are offered at least three choices daily, and there is always something suitable for vegetarians. Children make their choices in the morning and the kitchen staff prepare their meal ready for lunchtime. A baked potato option and a sandwich option is available every day. Fresh salad and pasta are always available for the children to add to their plates and fresh drinking water is there for the children to help themselves to.
Our children in Nursery and Reception are served the most popular choice from the menu.
School Meal Charges
Children in Years 1 and 2 are ALL entitled to a free hot meal every day. Children in Years 3 and 4 can purchase meals at the cost of £2.40 per day or £12.00 per week (2024-2025). Nursery children pay £2.20 for a school meal per day. All payments for lunches should be made through our online payment system - parentpay.com.

Packed Lunches
Packed lunches should be healthy and in proportion for the age of the child.
If you have any questions regarding lunches or wish to discuss any of the above points further, please contact the school office. Please note that the school office and kitchen require two weeks notice if you wish to change from one to the other.
Menus
Here is the menu for Year 1 to Year 4 for the winter term, academic year 2024-2025. Menus are subject to change due to availability and delivery.
If the highlighted option is meat based, children who are vegetarian will be served the vegetarian option. If the highlighted option is meat based and not suitable for those who follow a Halal diet, the Halal meal option will be served to these children.

Milk
Children under age of 5 receive free milk in school, which is organised by the Local Authority in conjunction with the School.
Children of 5 years of age or older, are entitled to milk at a subsidised price. Parents who wish their child to receive milk during the school day, can order this through Cool Milk. You can register your child at www.coolmilk.com
Packed Lunches for Visits
For any school visit, all children who have a school meal from Nursery to Year 4 will be provided with a school packed lunch.
Children in Nursery, Year 3 and Year 4 will be charged for these as a school meal. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will get these free a part of the Universal Infant Free School Meal offer.
Children who are normally packed lunch will need to provide their own packed lunch for the visit.
For each visit, there will be a deadline to notify us if you do NOT want a school packed lunch and wish to provide your own. If you do not let us know by this deadline, you will be charged for the school lunch irrespective if you provide your own as we will have placed an order for it.
