This half term the Planet Protectors launched a very special project called Cut Your Carbon! Our passionate Planet Protectors delivered a whole school assembly explaining why carbon is important and why we should cut our carbon use.
Six challenges were set for our pupils to help reduce emissions and make our planet a safer place to be. They included active travel, going plant based for a day, reducing the heating at home by 1 degree, buying nothing new for a month, limiting shower times and switching off all non-essential electrical devices for an hour!
Those who took part helped to reduce climate change. This helps our battle to stop melting ice caps, and stop creating dangerous weather events including drought, and floods.
