Somebunny wants to say hello to Y1!

19/4/20

Hello Year 1! Have you had an eggsellent Easter? I hope you are safe and well, and have had some time to relax and play with your families. It has been a little bit different to normal I am sure, but the people you spend it with are the same and that’s the main thing!

The grown ups have loved seeing what you have been up to via the Facebook page. It’s such a great way to keep in touch! Here is a little snapshot of what we have been doing…

Miss White
At the beginning of the holidays, I got all the baking things out and made some fudge, fruit scones and of course – some Easter Nests! I made quite a lot so I packaged some up for friends and family who I couldn’t see during this time. I also managed to read an entire novel that I have been trying to read since Christmas! The eldest dog in the White household has been poorly, but after a trip to the Vet, Jess has started to feel much happier! Do you like her snazzy bandages?

I also spent some time preparing for Miss Pearson’s birthday. Unfortunately, Miss Pearson was unable to have a party with all of her friends, so we made her a special parcel to post. It had all the things needed for a party, like bunting, balloons and snacks. We even wrote her a birthday poem! From what I hear, she had a lovely day in the sunshine and decorated her garden with the bunting and balloons!

Mrs Sinclair
Mrs Sinclair has been preparing for her baby’s arrival by finishing off the beautiful nursery and sorting all the teeny tiny clothes! Her very kind friends even managed to host her a beautiful Baby Shower using the internet! She has also been showing off her culinary skills by making pancakes and pizza from scratch, and creating lots of baked goods, too!

Mr Holman
Mr Holman has been enjoying the Happy at Archibald playlist that Mrs Mullick created. He’s been singing along to all the tunes; his family have especially enjoyed his performances!

You can listen here!

Mrs Conway
Mrs Conway has been very busy with her puppy. Lots of walking, training and bathing! We loved hearing all about him when he first arrived at Mrs Conway’s house and I know how much you thought he looked like Waffle! I’m sure we will hear lots more on how he is doing soon.

Mrs Corrigan
Mrs C has been a brilliant bookworm during the Easter holidays. She has managed to get lots of reading done – I hope this means she will still recognise all those tricky words during phonics!

Come and join us on our next blog for some Home Learning tasks!
